REVS Check and Vcheck

Tired of wasting money buying a used car with an unpaid dept?  Scared of sudden repossession of your car because of unknown dept?  Why waste money and burden yourself with such worries when you can REVS it and some Personal Property Securities (PPS) with it?

REVS or Register of Encumbered Vehicles is a free service to know if you are buying a used car.  Through REVS, you will know if the car you are buying has an unpaid dept and can be repossessed by its previous owner.  REVS provides you with some personal property securities or PPS.

Here are some easy steps to protect your personal properties and have the current owner of the car you are going to buy pay the dept first. The first step is you need to get the registration number of the car as well as its vehicle identification number.  Second is that you have to verify if the registration number and the vehicle identification match with the registration papers.  Third is to do a REVS check or a search on the NWS government Fair Trading website.  An example of this REVS check is the REVS Check QLD which is a service readily available in Queensland Australia.

Once you are sure that the vehicle you are buying is free from any debt or financial obligation, you need to purchase a REVS search certificate to protect your properties.  This REVS search certificate will protect you from any form of debt owing that particular vehicle.  REVS check or sometime simply called as the rev check is actually easily accessible in the internet.

You need to however complete the transaction of actually buying a used car before midnight and that you have demand from the original owner to first pay whatever known debt is attached to the car.

Other than REVS check, you can also do Vcheck on your vehicle.  You can purchase a Vcheck certificate that will allow you to verify if the vehicle you are purchasing has been recorded as stolen or not.  Vcheck also lets you know if your vehicle is under repairable or statutory write off.
